Aretia is built to work offline, with no account. The short version is simple: what you put into the app stays on your device, and the only thing I ever collect is the email you choose to share for the waitlist. The detail is below.
The app keeps everything in its own private database on your phone. Your workouts, meals, bodyweight, daily notes, and settings live there and nowhere else. Even the food lookup runs on your device, because the nutrition database ships inside the app, so a search happens without any network call. Aretia works fully offline, by design.
Because there is no account, there is no copy of your data on a server for me or anyone else to reach. If you uninstall the app, that information is removed with it, so keep a device backup of anything you want to hold onto.
If you enter your email on this website, I store it so I can tell you when Aretia is ready and share the occasional note on the build. That email goes into a private Google Sheet in my Google Workspace, and it is used for that and nothing else.
You stay in control of it. Write to hi@aretia.app any time and I will remove your email.
This site is static and hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, the host processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type to serve the pages and keep the site secure. Aretia sets no tracking or advertising cookies.
The demo at try.aretia.app runs the real app inside your browser. Anything you enter there stays in your browser's local storage on your own device, the same offline model as the installed app. Clearing the site data in your browser removes it.
Once Aretia is on the App Store and Google Play, it requests only the permissions a feature needs, at the moment that feature is used, and tells you why. The stores may gather their own download and crash statistics under their own policies. The app itself keeps to the on-device model described above.
Aretia is made for adults managing their own training and nutrition. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If this policy changes, I will update it here and move the date at the top. For anything significant, I will say so on the site.
